Ryan Phelan is a lawyer by profession, licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, admitted to practice in the federal court in the Southern District of Texas, member of the Order of Barristers, the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Bar College. Ryan was the head research fellow for the Center for Terrorism Law where he managed nine interns representing veterans and those accused of a crime requesting presidential pardons by President Trump.
Prior to opening his law firm, Ryan was employed in the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Ft. Worth, Texas as an assistant Criminal District Attorney. Ryan interned in the Bexar County DA's office handling felonies. Ryan also worked as a civil insurance defense lawyer, with a focus on medical malpractice defense in Corpus Christi, Texas, in the law firm of Woolsey and Woolsey, PLLC. Ryan Phelan is the co-author of a law review article on election laws and is completing his research and work on a book that will be published next year on hospital and physician law.

Ryan Phelan is the sole proprietor of the firm of Ryan Phelan Law. As noted previously, Ryan Phelan has worked as an assistant Criminal District Attorney for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s office and was also a civil defense attorney specializing in medical malpractice defense.
Ryan Phelan offices with Bill Wischkaemper, an attorney who has been practicing law in Texas for 48 years. Bill Wischkaemper is Board Certified as a criminal law specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and was named a Texas Super Lawyer in 2003 and 2004.
